My artistic practice is driven by my intrigue with nature and the natural world. I am interested in how nature can capture human imagination and perplex scientific endeavor. I am also particularly interested in humankind’s relationship and interactions with the natural world. My practice has largely been motivated by exploring alternative printing and photographic techniques, and how working with light sensitive chemistry can be used to grapple with my artistic interests. I often work with mixed media, and play with ways of combining alternative printing with other mediums, such as watercolour and inks.
I work from my home studio in Cape Town, making the most of the scenic natural surroundings of the Mother City, and exploring how this might infiltrate into my art-making.
