Teo Paul Vorster was born in Oranjemund, Namibia, grew up in Paarl and currently resides in Cape Town, South Africa.
I started taking art classes at school and went on to study BA in Graphic Art at The University of Stellenbosch (S.A) specializing in printmaking. I pursued Art full-time from 1996 onwards.
Originally only focusing on silkscreen and etching, I started experimenting with Lino in 2006 as I was looking for other print mediums to work with. I loved working with the Lino and its three-dimensional feel. The black and white print also allowed me to experiment with colour.
Once the Lino cut is completed a limited edition of Lino prints are hand printed by me on 300 gram 50% cotton paper. I individually hand-colour every Lino print with acrylic ink. The Original Lino is then coloured in oil and is also sold.
This unique practice ensures exclusivity as a very limited edition is available to the local and international market. My editions are normally 15 to 25 per work.
